Hi guys, thanks for the help on my cruise control.... Now I have other issues to move on to.
First of all, as in many Falcons, the fan belt is starting to screech. I know this means it's probably time to replace, but is there any trouble to replacing it? Or is it a straight on/off?
Secondly, I got cancerous rust on the roof. I was thinking of sanding back down to bare metal, getting out the rust killer and doing a proper full respray, but then I wouldn't be ready in time for the Crossroads cruise on the 6th of September. Any suggestions on (temporarily) hiding this rust?
Cheers

Belt is easy to replace. Loosen tensioner and then remove belt, put new belt on and retighten tensioner...though that's for EA-ED with the 2 belts. Engines with serpentine belt just needs the tensioner rotated to release tension on belt, remove belt, replace with new belt while holding tensioner loose.

I would get rid of the rust ASAP and do a patch job for the time being.

phong =P~

thanks phong, sounds easy.... as for the rust, just some rust killer i hope will do the job, but the paint on the roof is shocking... when i take it to an auto carwash, i get paint residue running down my back window, maybe i should do something about that as well
