Decide for yourself when you put the manual in. Wouldn't suprise me if the 3.08 pulls a better time down the 1/4 as you won't have to shift into 4th.

While I've never ran my 3.45 equipped XR6 down the quarter, I'd be very surprised if I had to slam it into fourth...
what sorts of speed do ya get out of 3rd before it stops making power

To be honest mate, I can't remember. I know I've seen 140 in third. I dunno if it would be pullin' over 140 km/ph at 400 metres...
yer i think you would. 140kph, spose depends on the car the driver the conditions and stuff might need 4th

Your looking at 140km/h with mid-high 15's.

Never actually run my car, I better soon!

I just did a bit of calculating though. With a 3.08/3.27 you should just be right, 3.45 will just hit rev limiter just a bit before the line I'd say.
Just a guess though, anyone with a 3.45 who's had a run like to comment?

Anyways, I guess the 3.45 will feel better for everyday driving - how often are you at the strip.

I can pretty much keep mine in 3rd, over the quarter, but thats with a 3.23.
It is right near the limiter, but my limit is set at 5,500rpm. You will be able to keep it in 3rd no worries. It'll just seem like you're revving it out for a while in 3rd though. But unless it hits the limiter, you're sweet.

I'd be VERY disapointed if I couldn't get mine into the mid to high 14's

149RWK's......
