Given if it used 70 L , that's about 34mpg in the old money or 7.14 L per 100k. Doing 50kph, down hill with a tail wind were we ??

around the city in my au ute, i can push 800 out of the tank, if i baby it. its normally around the 700 mark.

only done one highway run, from sydney to jindabyne, back to canberra and still had 280km to go, so i rekon i could push the 1000km mark

Hmmm..Similar economy to a Suzuki Swift and the power and comfort of a six.

no it really did 860 to the tank, remember its a bigger tank, and it was all highway driving, and also by other post on here it confirms it too its capiable of happening, whether u believe it or not.

The fuel guage is not a great indicator of fuel use. On all the EB's that I have owned, the guage stays above the 3/4 mark for ages and then drops back a cog and flogs down to empty. At 3/4 mark you probably only have a little over 30 litres left in that tank! (that's my experience with them anyway!)

Go and fill your tank up to full again, see how many ltrs you have used and then work out ltrs/100k's to get a better, far more accurate indicator!

Yeah same goes with me. On my trip to QLD the needle creeped slowly to the halfway mark and that was about 400km...and once passed the half way point it just dropped. Got up to the last indicitator before empty and had done nearly 600kms...Drove in the city for about 50 or 60ks before the fuel gauge lit up. As I said before...about 700km on a full tank of 98RON on the highway.

some people just don't like you getting better economy!!

my previous car was a ef xr6 wagon 5sp. i've done the trip from adel to qld many times and in that car i would get over 900km to a tank. bout 920 was the most but trip comp said still had another 30km or so in it. thats with the back full of luggage and the missus and daughter in the car as well.

round town i could get over 600 as well. trip comp used to sit on about 10.6 round town.

it was a very good car on the juice. had t series snorkel and full zorst and shaved head due to excessive warping. went hard as well. also had 293000 km on the clock.

as you can tell i regret selling it.

Around town I get 450kms, never really done a long trip to test the economy but I'd expect around 700kms. My trip computer says 13.2 when I first had the car I was doing more highway and it was 11.5, don't really trust my trip computer or my car when it comes to fuel sometimes it will be good on the highway 7-9litres other times it'll be around 11, stupid car.
