Hey everyone...just wondering how heavy an EL motor is with everything connected to it. BBM, exhaust manifold, injectors,...basically a complete EL motor...with oil and also an oil filter :P

dont know exactly but when i got a au i6 transported, they said it was around 200kg's

Thanks for that fritzz...btw was that just the motor without the BBM and all the accessories attached? lets hope the engine is no more then 400kg in total with accessories, bbm, oil, exhaust manifold and the other stuff.

its wont be over 400kg.

everything with the transmission might go close to 300.

Thanks Gaz :D someone told me it was about 400kg...i thought it was pretty damn heavy :? but i guess about 200kg sounds about right. Cheers

nah...just putting a motor on a stand...and hope to god it won't snap on me...supposedly can hold up to 600kg so should be fine. When i have spare change...then yeah a laser 6 would be cool...so long the chassis can withstand the motor,

yeah i think the motor is around 200-250kg....bloody heavy - surprisingly the V6 commie motors seem to weigh even more!

Do the Buick commo v6 engines have iron heads; they are pushrod as well are'nt they?

I always thought the V6 were lighter due to their size....weird.
