When I first got my car at 154,000 kms I noted that the coolent bottle was half full.

Now, at 160,500 kms, the car was running at bit hot, so I checked the bottle. It was empty (When COLD) I didn't expect it to loose much at all which is my reasoning for not checking :?

My question is, is half a bottle loss of coolent acceptable for 5,500 kms of highway and city driving?

My answer to this is there should be no coolant loss ever.

I second that!

But then again, its a ford 6... they love glycol!

just keep an eye on it untill it s**t itself! and or found the leak!

remember these cars have like 15ish 'yo hoses!

yeah you shouldnt be losing any

its a closed system with no where to go except round and round.

even over 6000kms it shouldnt lose anyway (via normal driving that is....they do sometimes push some through the overflow pipe when driven hard)

It's not a closed system. falcons do not run a recovery system.
