Then i guess the exhaust would be a waste of time then, i would of thought it would of made a decent difference.

no i definately get a bit better fuel economy with exhaust (4480's, metallic cat, 2.5 hooker aerochamber muffler)...i would say up to around 50km more or so...

i was just saying i get worse cause its addictive hearing the horn exhaust note and driving more lead footed when accelerating

i thought it was a fact when you get extractors it decreases the fuel consumption because the exhaust is free flowing allot more putting less strain on the engine to push the exhaust out

Extractor should increase effieciancy, they are designt to assist the extraction of exhaust. But more often than not the driver drivers harder due to the increase in power and throttle response

I just put pacey 4480's on my eb .Along with 2.5" redback exhaust. Now I just fang it everywhere cos it sounds so good and it pulls so much harder over 3000rpm. :D The last mod I did before that was fit a fully rebuilt tickford head off an EF .IT DID NOTHING BY ITSELF?!?!. :? :? I guess sometimes you have to tie things together to get them to work. It runs great now but I want more cam

man if you want economy stop driving a 4 litre i6 theyre the thirstiest thing out. get the exhaust but you wont like the sound. they make this horrible droany noise that sounds crud. my opinion man leave it standard ull get less people calling you a tosser for the s**t sound your car makes and they think that you did it for your car to sound cool and not for the supposed economy advantages.

aftermarket exhausts only sound fantastic if the exhaust is being forced out by a big gt3540r hairdryer

not true at all man i have heared crapy droney f@rt 6cyl but thats only when they have one heaps loud muffler.

i have one muffler but its fairly big and quiet its not droney but when you put the foot down it has a loud deep note not pingy or f@rt at all its all about what type of cat back and who does it for you i guess
my dad hates the sound of most 6cyl cars but he loves the sound of mine when you get it done rite they can have a good note

FOOL, mate get the exhaust, it depends on the mufflers they use for the drones, i have a manual with a single muffler and it doesnt drone at all, having said that if the setup was on an auto, it would be a different story, my opinion, get a single muffler and a hotdog resi and you will be fine, and it will sound all right, not "tosser like s**t sound" as fairmanual would have you believe. so IMO do it
