Hi All,

I have my daily EL Gli falcon i6 on lpg and wanting to get more kms and now im considering a exhaust system. Either extractors back or cat back but want it to sound standard but want to get maximum economy from it.

What are people's experiences after exhausts upgrade in regards to economy. Better or worse and by how much?

All advice is appreciated

Thanks in adavnce

I've mentioned this before, I gained around 50-100km to a tank - ef 5spd. on lpg I'd expect a slightly smaller gain, but a gain nonetheless.

He likes the sound and so revs the crap out of it more ;).

I honestly did not notice any improvement in economy since my style of driving changed as mods changed. I don't think there is much of an improvement if I was to drive like I used to. The extractors though allowed the car to breathe better but still no increase in economy.

Then i guess the exhaust would be a waste of time then, i would of thought it would of made a decent difference.

i thought it was a fact when you get extractors it decreases the fuel consumption because the exhaust is free flowing allot more putting less strain on the engine to push the exhaust out

but then again it depends how you drive i recon in the city the extractors because there not as good on take of it takes a bit more acceleration to get the car going than the slandered manifold but on teh high way it should defanatly help the fuel consumption

Ive got pacy copys and a 2.5" mandrel bent Lukey w one muffler.
I used to be stretching to get 500kms to a tank - now I can always get 550 - 600, and over 800kms to a tank hwy driving.
Ive also got a XR6T intake snorkel, but thats about it.

For the $$ (less than $500), it was well worth it. It sounds great, goes better all round and uses less fuel, when not putting the boot in.
