My car's number 3 on that BPR list and it was difficult to get to 164rwkw with a Wade 1673. IMO you'll need a 1521a to get over 170+rwkw, a CMS Stage 3 (or similar).

EF_XR_96, what's your exhaust setup after the extractors? With the improved flow in the head, you might consider going to a 3" from the cat back.

There is no exhaust system at the moment, the factory system was removed and scrapped, i was going to get a highflow cat and a 2.5 inch redback or similar... do you think it is worth going for a 3inch??

If you choose a cam that gives more power in the top end, then it's worthwhile (especially if you need a new exhaust anyway). At 5000+ rpm, the engine will breathe better and you may pick up a few rwkw at WOT. Just have to keep the noise under control and not attract the attention on Mr Plod.

It's not going to make enough power to warrant an exhaust that big.

How bigger cam could you go with a comp like that as i'm assuming u have shaved the head and put a AU head gasket on. I have a similar setup and the cam is the linch pin ATM with regards to valve to piston clearance. I took 30thou off the head and put an AU gasket in with high comp pistons but missing the power as i only have a wade 1673 in ATM.
Any thoughts?
