apparenty on the front of our commonwhore the pully system or whatever needed to be replaced(the turny things on the front of the engine, connected to the crank?).. cause it's done high kms, and it was makin f**k up noises.. now, we were charged 'bout 250 for this... it seems a lil steep? i dunno, what do u guys think

Im guessing it would have been the harmonic balancer? Right down on the crackshaft?

I would have imagined 250 to be about right.

yeh, prolly, my knowlege of the engines is.. amature? :P
say a V6 engine looks liek so:

the thing that the mechanic pointed to was about where that x is

yep the harmonic balancer, replace it asap if its making noise. i used to have a vl commodore and the balancer shattered from the locator key and took half the nose off the crank with it. cost me a full rebuild!!

I would suggest replacing it with a BA falcon. No more problems.

But really, 250 isnt a bad dollar
