hey guys how u all doing?need some help with the tensioner,guy at the workshop told me that tensioner need to be replace, and he quoted me $225 fitted,so im thinking better doit my self but im not sure how,can any one help me please :) thanks guys.

if you have to ask this is probably not the job for you - it is a piece of piss to do and there is plently of reference to it in the forums - the search option is your friend - basically a 3/8" socket set will do it

if he is supplying brand new parts ie new tensioner/new idlers/new belt it is a fair price

the hardest bit for you will be sourcing good parts if ur going 2nd hand bits to save some dosh

and it may depend on whats wrong with yours - if its only the idlers thats stuffed you will only be up for appox $50 for new NULON steel ones available at repco/bursons/super crap etc

you can get complete tensioners from EGAY anywhere fron $20 - $100 but bought site unseen they could be as bad as the one you got
