hey i got a timing light gun thingy and was wondering how do i use it to fix the timing on a mazda? my brother is p****d off cause i stuffed the timing. ( i was experimenting) now i need to put it back to normal.

put the pos and nec turnables on batury. and then put the other lead on number one plug lead. before you start the car put some white paint on the notch.on the harmanace ballencer .take off the vacume avance line off the dizzy loosen the dizzy bolt.start the car press the triggeron timing light and point it on the puller there shoud be some timing marks.on timing case. it should time on about 8 or 10 degrees on the mark you can tell by the way it runs just see how you go

a few questions.
harmanace balancer? is the where the crank is?
what am i looking for when the light flashes? when it flashes should the white paint mark be on top?
