How difficult is it to achieve 200 rwkw's????? I'm hoping to get close to it.
10.5:1 CR, custom grind cam ( roughly 35/75, 0.500" lift ), ported & polished head, 4480's, high flow CAT & exhaust, balanced, T5 manual, 3.27 diff gears, vernier cam gear, windage tray, smoothed crank, log manifold, lookin into an aftermarket ECU..........??????????????????

lol there are alot of things that will determine how much power (and how it is made) that an engine will produce...

altho off topic what about weight reduction in our cars is that something that can be done to say take off 100kgs or something since i noticed our cars repsond well to weight

does anyone know what it would take to get 200rwkw out of the n/a six

btw i have a m8 who has the same stuff done to mine altho his is a stage cam and he says he has 187rwkw i think its a load of wank because that means the cam is amking somthing like 47rwkw do you agree?

yes, its a load of s**t...
a dyno is not always accurate.
even if you go to the same one over and over.
these threads you have are going to go around in circles mate.

yer well im waiting for someone to come along that has had some head work done and also has a very large cam, and some other advise

and i dont have answers because so far ppl keeping going off topic
no ones said what power u get from head work
altho a few small mentions on a cam other ppls comments contradict each other comment so untill i see a trend in a cam then il have that one aswered.

not only that im trying to get the most from my car so its good to see what a few small things here n there can do, i dont really mind reading the same thing again and again untill something comes along that makes sence n would seem to work.

no one can give you an answer on how much power you can get from head work...
we are just people on a forum mate.
talk to your tuner or the person doing the work if you really want definitive answers

ah but iv asked my tunner ne hes so relaxed and stuff he doesnt really giv a idea of what im to expect

wouldent it make sence tho if someone had head work done they could tell me the diffrence from no head work and then after it was done since al i wanted to know along with power increase is can you feel the diffrence coz i dont wonna be wsting 1300bucks for something i cant feel much like the capa eliminator chip put me up 10rwkw cost 900 fittted and couldent feel a damn thing in diffrence altho my idle was better

The problem with drag strips around here are they are better suited to slicks...road tyres don't work. My ol Val would smoke up in 3rd with 18 psi in the road tyres at the strip, but wouldn't screech 2nd ( on street bitumen ), just bury you into the seat. It had really good power to ground.
My Honda won't power stand at the strip, but will easily on normal bitumen.
So, a drag strip isn't a real indicator, unless you use slicks.

because every head will be different, every tune different, etc etc etc
the gain you get from head work will depend on the rest of your setup

i'm glad i'm not the only one that thinks this has been answered before and will only go around in circles lol

if you want honest answers mate, read through the wade thread.
there are alot of posts in there about different cams and people go into detail about what setup they have.

to answer your orignial question which was how to raise compression...
you can either shave the head, deck the block, fit high compression pistons or a combination of any of those...
thats it
