hi all.. i was driving my 95 ef today and i was just cruising then decided to put my foot down abit. then took it easy again. then all of a sudden the car started running like s**t.... real rough and bad. my first thought was a popped head gasket but the oil is fine and the water is fine too. kinda stuggles to speed up like normal but still sits on 100kph fine. but when i kick back for a hill there is not much power there now.... so what else could of stuffed up to make the car run like that?



any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Does it only play up when under load? Does it rev out fine when in Neutral?

If yes, then it is probably an electrical breakdown, leads, plugs or at worst Coil Pack.

If no, it could be fuel blockage, Fuel Filter, Injectors.

Could also be a collapsed Cat or muffler.

I am with SWC on this one, lead plugs, fuel filter bang cat check for loose internals, lastly replace coil pack. Failing all of this, ECU. Doubt the ECU though.

all good guys. i found it is the coil pack... easy fix. just gotta get one. cheers for all the help guys
