Use AU cams or mix and match a 2:1rr top end and use e-series cams.

use an EL head get it prted heavy duty spring and a big cam, main benefit of the hybrid motor was the strenght in the bottom end, i wouldnt hesitate to change the head to an el one

Drive down to Ford Motor Wreckers in Maddington (off Kelvin Road) and ask the guy who runs the joint.
The number marked on the front of the head tells you what series its off.
He has everything you ever need and at good prices.

Then you can pick and choose what cam you want to run with.

umm was not the hybrid motor a EF/EL block with AU head?

all u need to do is get a cam from an AU

not that simple as the crank is different i believe. not hard to turn it back into a normal EL, or to go au spec.

The crank, rods and pistons are all a little different, but it still has the same bore and stroke. The only problem I can see is that the a cam that works with the AU ecu might not work as well with an el ecu. Depends how big you want to go though.

I'm now running one of RPD's cams - a stage 3. Ask 'Jaysen' be sure to specifiy it's for a hybrid. He'll sort you out.

/me points to sig and 150RWKW. (143 at Sydney Dyno Day last weekend).

Edit. it's an AU spec head!!! 1.8:1 rockers (not the 2:1 ratio on earlier E-series).

So if you're really annoyed, go get an EL head, and go e-series cams. Or as above, talk to RPD.

I beleive Arm97 tried a wade AU cam and it wasn't very happy.
