Datamine has an Alted stage 2 AU Cam in his EL hybrid. Good cam, I was looking at one for my normal EL, but settled for a stage 3 instead :)

If u have a hybrid, u need to use AU spec cams. Ihave a standard I6 EL hybrid, went to Crow, and they told me to put in an AU spec cam. Works fine :-))

Congratulations mate. Welcome to the club. Is she a manual? How much better is it than the old Lancer?

Thanks downing. Of course manual :p.
I have never been in love with a car so much. I wanted one since they came out when i was like 13 - and to pick up the 98 model with low k's I was stoked.
So happy to get home and open up that bonnet to see my old friend the I6 once again.

The Lancer was a good car, very reliable and ridiculousy fuel efficient. But the XR is in a class of it's own :p.

Tis true I've got a ALTED (RPD?) AU Stage 2 cam - yes Jaysen it's still in, seems to take WEEKS for the ECU to learn it.

They did have hybrid XRs.

Head part numbers start:

96DA (stock)
96DT (XR6)

where non-hybrid heads were

94DA
94DT (XR6)
ie. same as EFs

g&d do a decent cam for the au aswell ,i'm currently running one in mine at the moment .performance wise it is very similar to a jmm dev 4 ,which i used to run .the g&d cam makes a little more hp than the dev4 but loses a bit of torque .the plus side is that the g&d cam is a billet and there's no d**k around with shims .
