LOL

Over the last few years I've had no less than half a dozen people say "I'll race ya!

...as soon as I get my license back"

haha

Several times until a cop pulled up beside me at the lights and Shugg chickened out :P
I don't know what he was worried about, I was the one with my race numbers still painted on my windows and rubber all up my back guards and bumper. They had a good look as I drove off from the lights like a granny and then turned into a side street and got out

Shuggs and I are pretty close and I reckon he'd pull a mid to high 14 second quarter. He's only just had the manual conversion done though so he's still getting used to the gear shifts and launches. It's a huge improvement over the auto though, he was several car lengths behind by 100ks before but now he sticks pretty close. There's supposedly 10rwkw between us in the engine builds but it's too hard to tell on the street.

Yeah,

Had some fun. My car has been a manual for the last five years (since it was born), my left leg is still lazy when it comes to clutching. Sometimes I find myself pulling up to some traffic lights and forgetting to put the clutch in (the body remembers the auto responces). It will take a while to get used too.

Had a few runs from the lights, and some rolling 2nd gear starts. Fun fun fun. Hyena remained, mostly, about 1/2 a car length infront, sometimes not even that much.

Like Hyena said, there is only supposed to be 10rwkw between his ITS stage 4 build and my ITS stage 3PS build. Our cars are set up very differently, weight differences, different tyres and pressures etc... It would be interesting to see what would happen running similar set ups.

And yeah, that copper was eyeing off Hyena badly

I will practice my take off's and give him another go soon

Future goals ? In an ideal world I'd like 13.999 just so I can say I got into the 13s in a NA "taxi" but I'm pretty sure I won't pull that off short of throwing alot of money in it so I'll just aim to get as low in the 14s as I can for as little as I can. More importantly though as my only car it has to do it all reliably

I'd love to do the same. I ran a 14.68 prior to adding my cam and as of yet have not been able get in to give the car another run. The week I did, I took a sickie from work to do it and it f'n rained....

loxxr6 what spec was your engine when you ran a 14.6 ? just the unichip ? Is it with the cam and chip you're now pulling 150rwkw ?
That's a pretty good time for the mods you've done.

Jesus trickflow, talk about thread mining!
I haven't run again since then, I was planning to but never got around to it. The main reason being I STILL haven't gotten around to fitting the megasquirt so I'm still running the factory ECU. Sometimes it goes like a shower of s**t, others it a bit sluggish - all depends on what mood the ECU is in.
I got the speedo gear fixed so I shouldn't hit the limiter next time.
