hey guys
Im in need of smartlock bypass someone on here said they can make them but I cant find the thread again
I think his user name was route 66??
any ideas need one soon

Just splice in a second ignition barrel, run the 'smartlock' wire to the ECU, and keep it permanently 'ON'.

he did a neat doco on how to modify the PCB of the electronic lock assy so smartlock is premantly bypassed and no need for a second key

Yeah I did the docco up, but nobody wanted to put it in the tech section. Mixed feelings about giving that sorta info out I think. Oh well :)

Transponder keys are the way to go nowdays... You take the PCB with you!

troyman have to let me know how you go as Im doing exactly same as you but ef motor into ea
Ithink smart lock bypass will be easier then splicing in new key cause it sounds like Id have to change bem and so on just sounds like more chance of having problems what do yous reckon

my ea doesnt have smartlock and rather than changing loom or adding extra wires. i will use the bypass module..
