i am like most other people here, but i would like to see results.also photos and dyno graphs and parts or machining procedures to explain how you can get 199rwkw from a non turbo/supercharged i6 application.
anything is possible but for an i6 to streetable or daily i dont think it would be possible to make a constant 199rwkw day in and day out.maybe with a forced induction setup or nitrous.

with the new fg's i'd say definately possible, BA-BF's would be struggling to hit 200, that about the limit untill you go forced. Maybe if u got 190rwkw, then spent another 10k on it, you would creep up to 200, but that really isn't a plausible path unless you've got money to burn, and have a fascination with getting the most power out of an NA I6 car. In which case, you'd be better off buying an m3 (when they were I6's)

as this work was carried out on a sub contract basis I can't really show pictures and details - suffice to say these engines (not limited to Fords) are probably the most powerful of thier type in SA.

Bollocks,

If i had built a 199rwkr I6, i would be showing fkn everybody. I also agree with most responses here that i'm not going to spend my hard earned on something we have seen or heard nothing of.

Thanks for the comments, it's very easy to be negative in a forum.
But if you can, just step back and look at the situation from my perspective...I'm just floating an idea here, that is would anyone be likely to use my services as opposed to a 'tuning shop' and the answer seems to be probably not.

I have built engines both N/A and Force Fed on a sub contract basis for some tuning shops here in Adelaide - and you don't need to search too hard to find out who the tuning shop is.

All you need to do is search for who makes the most power from a N/A I6 ford here in SA and you've found at least one of the engines I have worked on and developed! It would probably suprise you that the tuning shop sub contracted this work out.

I'm sure that most of you won't understand why I am not posting pics etc of my work - but as I have already mentioned, I was a sub contractor - I did not have 'ownership of the project' having said that pictures of me carrying out the work are currently on sponsor forums.

I and many others know that I was personally responsible for the engine development and modifications that produced this reliable and repeatable 'every day driver' power figure, the owner of the 199rwkw N/A XR6 is a 'mature guy' in his 50's and it's enough for him to know he has this power without shouting about it.

Thie development work I carried out was not limited to the I6 engine either....350rwks was achieved from a N/A VE SS (6.0 L98 engine)

Considerable power was also measured from XR6T & F6 engines too, but the owners of these vehicles also prefer not to 'advertise' the power of these vehicles - I guess they have nothing to prove....just knowing they have 'considerable' measurable power is enough for them.
It's not my business to push these guys to advertise these cars, I just did what I was asked to do - that is to build powerful engines!

I lookslike I need to look again at who might be interested in the services I can offer...
But thanks for all the input :-/

Closed..

It's going to be hard to sell your services with no proof, not even any soft-facts like 'I use a custom grind cam' and 'I raise static compression a bit/a lot'.

You've given us nothing, can't expect any support for that.

If you really are good, then you'll have plenty of work anyway, so good luck to you (seriously).

I understand where you're coming from (re: subby-ing work, I do mostly contract work myself) but I still have references to my skills, expertise, and experience. I'd be crazy not to, it'd be impossible to get work otherwise.

Despite the distaste caused by the lack of photos, I think this could well be a good option. The guy sounds like he knows what he's on about, even if he doesn't want to advertise his abilities.

I'm more interested in how the power is being made?
For 199RWKW was it full headwork, cam, tune, cai, underdrives, and any other fruit you can add?
Or were you able to produce this sort of power with some headwork and a tune?
If that's the case, then it shows some skill.

Also, are you fabricating any components? or using other store bought components and assembling them to your own satisfaction/standards..

Everyone is making 200rwkw's sound like a white elephant, it's not impossible, and I don't think it requires $10K either, more just knowhow.

I believe your original question was who are the main competitiors?
Blue Power, BPT, Kostecki, and many others are the known brands. But there are smaller workshops (like what you propose to do) that have the knowledge and ability, and may well have done some engine work that has slipped past all of our knowledge.

I find it funny that everone is abusing someone that's testing the waters of need and desire.. This guy may well end up charging less and giving more power than the big names everyone speak so fondly of..

Same here actually. i know your toey about details, but if you put together a pack of some sort and a rough ball park output figure (as it will have a fair -+ anyway) i think people in this thread might change their tune slightly. it doesnt have to be this 200rwkw NA thing your on about, more something to let us know your capabilities
