Scotty, if you ever go to pass me, I'll open my door and slam on the brakes.

You're pretty small, I reckon i could get you a good 30 metres.

havent worked out the rev problem mate but the cam pulls to 5700rpm so i should be changing gears around 5500-5600 so its definately slowin me down! I have replaced all sorts of s**t... but im happy with 14s neway. Its only a small cam and the car is my daily driver and i still get 650-700kms out of a 68l tank. :D

Ull find alot of 90 model 6cyl falcon manuals running mid-high 14's. they got lots of potential :D

i think that cam would produce peak power at about 4800-4900 rpm

I know peak power is around there but i can feel it pulling to limiter.
rob can feel his pull to limiter on his ED too. so yeh :P
The reason i winge is because when i change gears it puts me just out of powerband in the next gear... and i have to play catch up again. If i could rev her out a bit more id have alot more power in the next gear eh.

Yeh huge diff between mine and pauli tho.. ITs all about the manual and the diff. He has heaps better extractors then mine too.

i know of a guy with an unopened 4lt in a xg ute who ran a 14.1, that was with 5 speed and 3.7's limo on slicks, extractors and exhaust and cold air intake, drove it like he stole it.......... std cam.
s**t that's pretty huge! Slicks are cheating though :)
What revs did he launch at ? Heavy duty clutch ?
If I try to do huge rev launches (huge = >3k) my clutch just slips. It's only 12 months old though (PBR) so I'm not going to bother replacing it just for a good time slip when it's fine on the road .

As stated a few times in the past, I pulled a 14.8 with my old engine, wade stage 2 auto cam (car is a manual) extractors and a single spinner 3.23 diff.

I'm hunting low 14s with my new engine which I'll run in about a month

Ride: AU1 XR6 VCT

Location: Melbourne
VIC, Australia

15.024 @ 93.54mph

Thats in an AUTO AU VCT XR6 with only exhaust and minor intake mods done.
Engine is dead stock, no chip at the time, tyres at 36psi, stock suspension.

Since then I've added a chiptorque chip, made a few small changes to improve the gear changes, and softened the rear a little.

Should be good for an unopened 14.9 or 14.8. In a heavy a** auto thats not to shabby I think.

That's a nice time mate!!!

I'm hoping for just under 15 if i get a perfect run with my AU, and it's manual...
Only have Extractors and 2.5" mandrel bent cat back though

One way to find out i guess
