just crusing ebay looking at headers, and pulled an interesting set that claim to be pacemakes, so I opened up a window on 4499 and 4480 sets on ebay for comparo.

the first link is the 4499

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... 3%26ps%3D5

note the straight individual length pipes, and 2 groups of 3 pipes into the collector.

the next is the 4480

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Pacemaker-Header ... .m20.l1116

note the same length pipes, and the 2 groups of three pipes into the collector.

now is the other pacemaker, which have a subtle difference:

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... 3%26ps%3D5

it seems to have 3 groups of two, with 3 pipes going into the collector. is this an older style of PM headers? if so what is it called and what is the history? how does it compare to the current models? it looks fairly new, though paint is a lovely thing.

can anyone identify and shoot some info on what the 3rd ones are?

That second link actually has the 3 groups of 2, you just cant see the 3rd pipe behind the others.

the 2nd and third are both 4480s, ie 6-3-1.

The first pic as was said is 4499s, ie 6-2-1, tri y...whatever you wanna call em.

I know the 4480's got a midlife change where the pacemaker badge got moved, I'm sure as to whether anything else was changed though (I doubt it, and even so i doubt you could tell the difference).

ps i love how they have painted it black to hide the fact they are probably old with all the paint burnt off. Not that it makes a difference as long as there's no rust/dints

Yeah skidder is spot on with the 2nd and 3rd being the pacemaker comps -4480's. I read on some other forum, maybe AFF, that the primary pipe size may have changed between the older 4480's and the newer ones. Wouldnt have a clue which ones a the older ones and which are the newer ones though, but if i find the link i'll post it up here
