Is it definately recommended to get ford to reprogram the computer after replacing new idle control motor? someone pointed that out to me, im now wondering if its the cause of some of the problems with my ef.

Yes, the base idle needs to be reset. and cleaning the throttle body doesn't go astray either. I think aftermarket workshop manuals tell you how to do the base idle setting.
