car has been running good since the BBM/VCT conversion and i have 1 anoying thing that is bugging me

At idle it will sit about 700rpm but volts drop and motor dies for almost half a second on and off but soon as revs increase to 900rpm or higher it goes away and voltage is up to normal again? ONLY seems to do this at idle hot or cold i cant work it out?, I've replaced plugs, leads, coil, and rotor button but cap is ok not new but ok altho it ran fine before i did the BBM/VCT head and manifold conversion?

Anyone got any light to shed on this?

I would like to know the answer to this aswell, as I have a similar problem. I asume you have cleaned the ISC.

Yes cleand the ISC and replaced it with my original ED one!! did the exact same thing the only thing im left to replace is the dizzy cap but im sure its not it? it will idle smooth enough to balance a 50cent coin on its edge then revs start to drop and half dies no pops out the intake or exhaust just a split second as if its got no power?

could also be your alternator...
my car idles at the very lowest mark on the tacho and i always have 14volts
that wouldnt explain the idle issue, but it would explain the volt issue

well i know the head, plugs, leads, injectors, cap, dizzy button, tfi, coil, and bottom end are all good as they are either Reco(bottom end) or been pressure tested and or are new so i think it would have been my dizy cap and coil but checked coil in another car today and ran fine no hicup at idle also the power output lead on the ALT was a little loose so it may have been that and the dizy cap but who knows its running great now better than new lol but still waiting on a HLA repair kit from Shiftkits.com.au to resolve a slight ticking noise i can just hear it and its annoying
