ive got the stage 4 its engine with the stage 5 billet cam... =unichip.. my car had great idle quality... then my negative connection at the battery came a lil losse... car started s**t itself all of a sudden.. engine was f@rt/stalling headlights flashig on/off along with all the other dash lights... when i traced the prob to the loose negatve terminal i tightened it up n was all sweet.. but now since then my cars idle hunts now usual for a big cammed engine.. but it now wants to stall everytime i stop n put it into nuetral.. it hunts slightly norcal cam style but every 15 seconds the idle speed drops to 400rpmthen shoots up to 1000rpm then back down to 300rpm then 1100 rpm then stalls.. whats going on? has a sensor failed?? any help appreciated... its a hassle blipping the throttle to keep the engine running at the lights..even more so on a hill... :(

at the risk of getting flammed wildly isnt that what happens when you put a lumpy cam in anyways. you loose in one area to gain in another as with any mod. has its side effects?

try resetting the pcm its worth a try
start engine (dont touch the acclerator)
put foot on brake
select drive
do this for about a minute
turn engine off(leave gear lever in d)
turn key on to position 2(dash lights on)
hold acclerator pedal to floor for another minute
turn key off
put in park
start engine and see how idle is now

this is the twist... it ran a pb lastnight... 14.4 @ 95.6 mph but at the same time driving around town it has a yoyo idle n stalls frequently.. whattha?! how can it be so extreme? fast but cant idle! mayby a sensor? cam angle sensor now has s**t itself and cant support the car at idle? or coil pack?

you should of said it was a manual
sounds good to me
its posible the pcm might have a head ache
or damage has been done to the pcm from voltage spikes
from having a loose bat terminal
lets me know how ya get on
