ae you talking about hte whole lock and barrel? all you would need to do is take it out and put it in.

are they both smart lock? it will have to relearn so i think you just plug it all in and turn it to acc or on for half a hour or so and it should start to work

oh yeah they are a shear bolt, i.e. when yuo do them up to a torqe the head snaps off. you need to get a punch or someting to start it to loosen and undo it that way.

if its not smart lock shuould be just plug and pla then

Correct they are a gold colour looking bolt.... u can see they look snapped off at the top, you need a punch and a hammer although when i got desperate, i used a screw driver, that worked, bit messy though.

That will be the only way, Punch and hammer should do maybe a power drill?? Is the Steering column out of the ca or still in the car? Also you got be careful when taking it out watch the windscreen.

Hammer+Windscreen= FAIL :D

Well you wont be damaging anythin else really, depends how phsyco you go with the hammer. And then afterward's you'll need nuts and bolts to secure it again on the shaft shouldnt be that hard. Perhaps others may have another backyard idea, but that what i can think of.

I used a dremmel to cut slots on the top of the bolts, then stuck a flat screwdriver in and a couple of taps to make it firm.I then just turned and they came out.
