i get my new custom grinded cam from crow and my xr6t springs and gasket in tommow any advice anyone can give me when getting one in like do i have to do anything after its been put in the car

Crow should send you a "cam run in guide" along with your cam. it'll say hold it at 2000rmp for the first five minutes or so... and so on. is it turbo?

yeh man goin in the laine the car had a few more problems than i thought it would have the cam chain guide retainer pin had come off and had been rattling though the engine which had made a 15mm deep scrap in the engine wat was really weird was that no oil was leaking out i thought it was a miracle that nuthin bad had happened i thought it was the started motor that it was screwed so it was a lesson for me to check noise in ur engine

not needed on the OHC and twin cam 6cyls, as they use a roller cam. though crane and comp cams both say it is a good idea to heat cycle your springs befor you drive it with any revs. basicly start the engine and let idle until it's up to temp, then let cool back down again. then you can drive as you like |
