Either you have a blown bulb, or a bulb is working but shorting out, remove all the indicator bulbs and clean the contacts and the bulbs as you go, then re-test the problem.

If you have a towbar, check the trainler plug. Mine's stuffed, it makes the indicators flash fast. You just need to earth out the contacts. if the plug's loose, it could explain one flashing faster than the other.

Replace the indicator relay (that is if all lights are okay). I can't remember which one it is (in the fuse panel) but my XR8 was doing this intermitantly (flashing fast then slow etc), changed the relay and bingo, never did it again  .

Hey i had a similar problem.

Took it down to the mechanic and he said it was the 'can' (don't know what that is exactly) but he replaced it and no more worries.

Tim.
