HEYHEY.

I just got a set of AU injector to fit into my EF engine. Ialready know they fit.

My question concerns when swapping them, they do not like dirt, obviously. Anyway, they came out of a car that had 114000klms on it, so not real high.

How can i be sure they are clean enough? Is there something i can do to make sure they are clean? IE: dunk them in clean petrol or something?

I don't want to fit them, and then they end up being blocked full of s**t and have to remove them anyway to get them cleaned.

Thanks
Andrew.

i know your probly not made of money, but you should slap them in, and then if the cars running like a bag of s**t, limp it to a servo, and slap in some nulon octane boost and clean then fill ur tank up, that should give em a nice clean...

Otherwise to be certain you'll have to fork out the 100 and something bucks to clean em professionally.

I had thoughts of fitting them in then just running injector cleaner or octane booster for a few weeks. DDoes this stuff actually work? I've never used it.

As long as the o-ring seals are good, and i'm careful i can't see why it wouldn't be ok?

get them cleaned. forcing more crap in to them with injector clean isnt a good idea. 100,000 is about time to clean injectors anyway

Mate before you put the injectors in the car take them to get serviced with new buskets & pindel caps. Thay will do a before & after flow rating.
DoNot put injector clean crap in the fuel tank it can make it worse. Trust me.
If i was you i would take one of the old injector with the new ones & get them to flow one of each so you can see the differance in the pattern & flow.

Theres a place called "aznew" which recon injectors on a changeover basis, and most Repco stores are a distributor for them which makes it easy, but i dont know how much they charge?
