Hey guys, about to install BBM on ED and noticed on EF/L there were two gold coloured braces going from BBM to block, but also noticed that some EA/D don't have holes for them to bolt on to block!

My question, is are they really needed or is OK to be just held on to head like the log manifold is, as there is no braces on that one.

I know huggiebear and troyman have done this, so if you chaps know, I'd love to know.

Sorry for asking millions of questions, but I suppose it's better to do a proper job.

Thanks heaps guys,

Mark.

The log manifold does have a mount underneath the log (well the XH has it anyway).
Wouldn't hurt to mount the strut that goes from the head to the lower throttle body.

I've looked under my manifold and there is no holes for the two brackets, or a knock sensor, so mine was obviously cast withthout in the block, so it should be OK just to hang off the head like that, won't damage it any way will it?
