hi, could someone direct me to a thread with a step by step guide to installing a cam please.
i was thinking of getting the wade 1636

i had a look for the tech docco but couldnt find it, ill check FFau(www.fordforums.com.au) and see if i can find something helpful

just reading that doco on cam removal and its alot easier to zippy tie the chain to the cam sprocket at 9 ,12 and 3 it dont move that way seems a bit easier then a broom and a brick???????

its also easier if you get an assistant to hold the cam gear up whilst you change over the cams so that you dont need to reset the timing chain tensioner. All that they need to do is slide it off the cam nose whilst you pull the cam out and drop the other one in, then slide it back on the new cam nose when you have got the pin indexed to its groove. Your assistant will need to hold a fair amount of pressure upwards, but its only for about 30 seconds whilst you change the cams, its the easist way of doing it when your NOT fitting a vernier cam gear.
