Just wondering what other people have come to the conclusion of.

What do you guys think flows better? ... EF or EL intake piping? ..

Now, with the EL, its got that sharp bend in it, But with the EF, its got two smaller pipes ...

what are your thoughts? >.

EL - a much more direct route to the TB rather than the larger EF one. plus, the EL doesn't sweep over the rocker cover: = less heat. my thoughts anyways.

I thought it was the EF that had the better airbox lid (the lid that sits over the air filter. But the EL had the better pipework...?

Could be wrong tho......

from some of the dyno testing i've heard about the EL pipework works better. but iguess it comes down to alot of factors like what condition your engines in and things like that.

hope you can get them at the right price then, my local wreckers want $100 for an ef induction piece, the part that fits over the rocker cover, $200 new

You would think that Ford make improvents in their newer model cars so having said that the EL one should be better.

However as chunkz said I also remember seeing something about the EF intake plumbing has better potential than the EL due to the swirling that it creates.
Works just like the intake manifold for switching between long and short runners but its done as needed by the airflow.

EF series Airbox was tested by autospeed and found that it was the best flowing box lid out of the group, due to the pipe inside i think it was..

EL series intake tubing was tested by FordMods in melbourne at our 2004 Dyno day; same car with different intakes, the EL made either 2 or 4 rwkw improvement it was..

Either way these are all small improvements, but they all add up at the end of the day I guess - EF air box lid with EL intake pipe and el gt snorkle should reap the best result using orig ford parts from what i understand.

I just have some sort of weird tube thingy on my XR6, its not standard but i belive it was put thier because of the Gas system (see my Gallery if you wanna look at it).

I dont really know if this makes a difference at all but its bigger than the factory intake.

THE ONLY bad thing about it is the fact that it sits pretty close to the rocker cover.....so im not completly sure whether or not its heating up the air traveling to the TB? cant be good if thats the case thou
