That dudes engine is pretty cool.
Looks like he stumbled across one of fords pre-production test units.
It looks like it is an AU bottom end with a twincam head and whole bunch of parts ford made to make it all fit.

Be good to see how the I6 goes in one of those mustangs, they usually have the 302W and make good numbers on the strip with a few tweaks.

I've seen pictures of that somewhere before, the Au was supposed to get a twin cam but they scrapped it late and just gave what they had a freshen up.

I wonder if that bloke still has that motor?

I wonder what else Ford has been toying with that hasent come to production.................

You would also think they would house this engine at there head office or warehouse and not some random wreaker............

think it would be at all possible to install a BA/BF head on an AU block?

That engine looks like an AU/BA hybrid.

It even has BBM & cable TB.

Interesting to say the least, but what confuses me the most is HOW THE HELL DOES THIS ENGINE EXIST? It sure is weird.

That's a bit of a shame actually. a DOHC would of went well with my AU II Fairlane :)

Just throw in a complete BA long motor, harness, dash, pcm, cluster, door trims, etc etc. It'll all bolt in/clip in like factory.

In theory I suppose you could bolt on the BA head but you'll be facing A LOT of fabrication to get it to fit... custom timing cover at the very least, as well as purchasing some vernier cam gears, not to mention trying to get the head to seal.
