the 2 heater hoses connecting up the firewall behind the intlet manifold
is it possible to get them or do i have to remove the motor or the inlet manifold to get em because i cant even get my tools to the bloody clip things on there i replaced my coolant and all my heater hoses and overflow bottle about a month ago and again my cooling system is stuffing up these 2 hoses i couldnt get to are now leaking   or am i better off to take it to a mechanic and just tell them to do it because im honestly over my cooling system as it seems to fail every few months (i bet the radiators next its the only thing i havent replaced after this)

It's possible, but can be a pain in the a***.
I'd suggest getting at it from underneath as bry40l said. Also pointy nose pliers to get at the hose clamps. Might need a wide flat head screw driver to move the hose along the piping, if you can grab it with one hand, you can also twist it to get it off the piping. Needs a bit of patience.

Aww mate, not gonna lie is a paaaain in te place where the sun dont shine.
Even made my own tool to do it! (bent bracket attached to some twine lmao.) What i did was with this bracket (mimics a hook) i pulled up the heater hose under the inlet manifold, and then got it into position, would be handy to attach the hose to the other end first. Lubed up the pipe with some Vaseline and with vice grips or some pliers (cant remember) applied leverage off the inlet manifold to push the hose on the pipe. It can be very tricky, anbd will take some repeated goes, probs a beer and alot of swearing but you will get it on! without having to remove anything i might add. Whoops just looked at the pictures, just assumed you were talking about the heater hose running off the thermostat, under and along the inlet manifold. Sorry man, will teach me for not reading and posting first!

so i need a hoist to do it
because i just dont trust my car under jacks and stands because its being worked on a slight hill and i can easily see it rolling back and killing me especially since the car is so god damn low the only jack i can get under the car is the factory jack and thats a just type of thing and it only just gets on some hoists so it is pretty damn low

by the spring clip tool from a tool joint. jack it up. get it from underneath.
i was lucky. when i did motor swaps on both my EB and my SVO i replaced these hoses for the fact they are s**t to get when the intakes in

be careful as the pipes are copper as is the heater core. don't apply so much force that you might distort things. stuff it up and the heater core will be stuffed...dash out job...

after much studying ive actually found its leaking at the plastic clip that connects to that hose so im going to remove the plastic bit altogether and just have it running straight from the hose to the motor the other ive manged to fix
the car is no driveable but i will need to add more coolant when all is said and done even with me recycling the coolant i take out and thats actually playing really well because the corrosion from the motor etc falls the bottom when i put it in the pain so its very easy to remove the corrosion from my cooling system so there is something positive about all this

Easy as dude. Go down to repco and buy a 90 degree long handle long nose plier.
Use a sharp knife or razor to cut the hose off. If you need to reuse the hose give them a good twist and they'll come off. |

is that plastic clip on that heater hose acutally needed or was ford just high when they made that thing because ive seen inside the plastic clip and it just looks hollo like it does nothing but just clips up to that motor
edit: this may help people get what im on about this hose here http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/FORD-DF-DL-E ... 2c5cc2380e has a plastic clip on on end that clips up to the motor and as far as i can tell there is no reason why i can just run straight hose on to the metal pipe that plastic bit connects to

I've taken the hoses off when I swapped heater boxes, hardest part is getting the spring clamps off,
Taking the hoses off can be tricky if they are stuck on. I found it easier from the top. I replaced the spring clamp with normal hose clamps, so next time will be alot easier getting them off. It did help that I have small hands lol
