Every so often i get a sound that comes from the inlet side of the motor... it sounds like when you remove the plugs and check for tdc. Is it the fact the head gasket has an external leak thats causing this sound or am I looking at another problem? Its definately coming from the inlet side.

I was thinking maybe that but wouldnt it be constant if it was the inlet gasket? The sound has no rythem but just from time to time in idle blows like a mini blow off valve

Have a d**k sender and unfortunately ran the injectors dry a couple of times ( thanks to the mrs), you might be right. Will see in the next few weeks when the au injectors go on. Might be them causing a miss too, I thought it was the head gasket. Nuloned the throttle body today and couldnt believe how clean it was.
