Please forgive the noobie, but is my engine a hybrid?? There is a pic of it in my users gallery.

I have a 98 EL furura built in Jan 98.

Is there anything special regarding maintanence or things that I have to watch out for?

Poor old chooks done near 170 000k

Cheers
Drew

hybrids have a long wr2a number. all others have 96da or similar. there's a few around but if it's a 2 number then 2 letter combo then it's not hybrid. big long numbers are hybrid

Then explain how my hybrid head has a part number starting wtih 96DT, and it is a hybrid (had rocker cover off) and its a march 98.

Starts with 96dt....

96DT-xxxx-xx is the format of the part number. I cant remember the other numbers tho.

Its not like the original heads with a big 94DT printed on it, its a full ford engineering part number.

Ripped off belt cover and found a 96DA, thus I guess it is safe to say its not a hybrid. :o

Drew
