i seen this ecu avertised on ebay as a FORD EL POLICE PACK COMPUTER
96DA 12A650-NB-6DNB, i have not heard of a police pack since the old commodores interceptors, is this true ?? or is this guy a 1st class wanker ?? (sorry if i offended anyone using the filthy word "commodores")

there were police pack ef and el falcons, they dont go any harder all the ECU does is alter the shift patten of the automatic transmissison

I think they also stop the automatic transmission from going into 4th gear under 60km/h.

ive noticed in my EF with economy on.. it wont go into 4th until about 70, but with economy off it will go into 4th at 60 :)

nah not really, I'm doing a BBM conversion using tickford hardware (300kPa stuff), and using this computer to run it. Im also putting in a EF dash so that i have smartlock. The reason i wont be able to tell you what improvement it makes is because I have nothing to base it on apart from my cpi setup which is on there at the moment. For a fair comparison i would have to have a stock EL ecu and replace it with the cop ecu
