hi mark..

just a few questions...

do yo ufind yo get timing chain rattle with a 50thou shave like in the stg3ps??
i've found shaving the heads to much can cause some rattle.

i'm also wondering why in the higher power engine with new over size pistons you still shave the head and not use high comp pistons??

At what stage do you replace valves with with 41mm exhaust.??
Do you use the AU valves with teh smaller stem and turn down the ends of the guides?

I'd like to recommend anyone thinking of having any repairs or work to consider ITS.

I recently had a crack in my firewall (common prob with earlier manual falcons) fixed by Mark and he has been easy to deal with and more than helpful.

Thanks !

Im afraid to say that I have had nothing but troubles with my satge 5 engine since I got it back. It was quoted to have 180 rwkw but has come up well short at 140rwkw. Only 2 of my cylinders are running right the other 4 are running that lean that the engine is retarding.

I have contacted Mark a number of times over the last 12 months to get him to have a look at it but he never seems to contact me.

HaHaHa you members can belive who you want but GAZZA was told these engines are tested with manual gearboxs before he purchased the engine, Once the engine was fitted i test drove this car and told GAZZA and his FATHER that the auto is slipping and that it wouldn't last or produce with that engine he was better to go with a manual to feel the engine work. And as far as calling me a number of times try 2 GAZZA and i said on the last time i will need the car for a few days i had a bit of work on but call me when you car give me the car for a couple of days, and now this is your next response. You told me the car was running great the only issue was the power never said you had problems SINCE I FITTED THE ENGINE other wise you would of called me due to noisy lifters or oil leaks or head gasket or running rough or misfiring or a water leak or using to much fuel So don't over exadurate the story GAZZA.
You can ask many members about the advise i give and 99% of the time it's right. Such as faulty computers, Need a manual conversion, Different sparkplug leads, Air intake changes. BUT anyway i know the truth out there iv'e done a number of engines and producing 170+ at the wheels and others producing what they asked for. But THANKS to those who BELIVE and take the ADVICE on board.
I would love to here members reposes to this subject.

Have you chipped your ECU? Have you upgraded your injectors and pump? If not then I'm not suprised your having trouble trying to run an engine which would be happy to spit out close to 250 fwkw with systems that have only been designed to run a 160 odd fwkw engine.

Im not here to start a slanging match.

People asked for an opinion and I gave it.

Other people have had great results from your work Mark but I havent.

As far as I was aware my car was running fine but I have learned otherwise.

Marks engines dont require ECU chipping or upgrades of injectors/fuel pumps.

Once these problems are sorted with my engine Im sure that it will be strong and powerful.
