You won't belive the difference with a manual so the cam can work harder and fine tuning and possibly some small allterations to richen ar lean up with injectors / fuel rail / regulator to suit you needs and computer.

With a proper ECU and tuning plus getting it re-tuned and a manual conversion youd be suprised I reckon 30rkwkw etc is easily feasible....once the motor is running how it should

Im yet to get a buuild from mark but me mate rob (xr rob) has had zero issues with his stage 3PS setup.....the motors travelled over 2,000kms now and hasnt missed abeat.

How hard have u been flogging this too.

Marks a great dude Ive lost count how many calls ive made to mark in the past bout varying certain setups etc must have annoyed the s**t out of him but he still returned almost all my calls and was happy to discuss issues etc on the phone.

What about custom engine jobs ?
Say for instance, this year I would like to look at saving for a CAPA Powerdyne/Vortech intercooled supercharger kit for my EL.
What can you do at ITS to make my 200,000K+ old engine reliable enough to run some decent constant boost, but still be my daily driver aswell :).

The CAPA kit boasts 346kw's, so a 5 speed conversion would be needed also.

Do you have much of a hand in any boosted engines or do you generally stick to the engine kits?

EDIT : Would you recondition my old engine or would it be worthwhile to get a new one purpose built to suit?

Mate for that query i wouldnt bother postin here...Id give Mark a call on 0415 727 951 or (02) 46214178
or email at itsperformance@aapt.net.au

The manual conversion from Mark will set u back a grand cause with the supercharger theyre aint gonna be much point in runnin the stok ecu...double check with Mark but i think he installs and tunes the wolf 3d plus version 4 ECU with an external boost controller for 2.5

Thats cool, if this is going to happen its not going to be for a good 8-9 months or maybe a little more.
I dont want to bug him about it too much til im in more of a position to start actually getting things done finance wise.

probably a good idea at least then u know what figure youre really gonna have to play with realistically cause any forced setup with new engine management will be sorta hefty on the coin

Hi ACE

Mate BIG KEV is right give me a call there are many options you can choose as KEV knows i would rather talk to you about it than i can give you an idea on price and get a better idea of what you want exactly. But there is nothing we can't do.

Cheers Mark

i dropped in frequently with my white ef fairmont when u worked at macqarther parts plus narrellan.. i got the 5 spd done there...

cut a long story short...

i cooked my engine last sat.. blown head gasket..minimum of my probs!!
could be other damage aswell.. Bloody radiator!! i got my engine up to 145 rwkws.. with the help of a unichip..

would be looking at the exchange engine... somewhere between stage 4-6... will be calling u soon... will try to cash in the 5 months holidays work owes me! hehe!..

Good afternoon all/Mark.
I have read through this thread and have a couple of questions.

I am running dedicated Impco LPG currently on my EF. I want to go for one of your stage 3PS/4/5 motors. After looking at quoted rwkw figures I will need to upgrade to a bigger converter or get a twin gas setup (twin throttle bodies too).

As long as I tune the gas set up properly, can I expect to gain the rwkw figures quoted on the first page of this thread? Could I expect more rwkw as LPG is 105-110 octanes?

What sort of compression ratios are the top end DEVs running on? If it is not too crazy then I am thinking of adding flat top pistons to the list of goodies. How much would flat tops add to the cost of the DEVs...would the motors still run well with flat tops fitted (remembering I am running straight LPG...extra RON and no pesky injectors to worry about).

Please reply to this Mark or Hyena (or whoever). Prices for work here in WA are ridiculous compared to NSW prices, even with freight thrown in. I am looking at 1000's just for head work. I have a decent Hi-Po gas specialist here that would perform the install. They keep trying to get me to fit a blower but I want a bullet proof monster first before I force it.

Dale.

Gday Mark

Wondering what would be the most useable kit u have with an auto as i am in my manual hating phase for at least another year or so. Also the changeover motor would it matter if it had done a head gasket but otherwise was in good working order?

Hi EFFALCONMAN the RwKw outputs on gas are very simular once tuned due to gas loving the higher compression. The big stage kits run 12.5:1 throu to 12.9:1 i recently built a motor running 13.2:1 it's a weapon it runs a AIRROD gas system. As far as flat top pistons the bigger stage kits come with them the only thing extra i would suggest would be harder valve seats.
Cheers Mark
