Hey,

After some advise on this cam, all the in's and outs and a rough figure and how the car will perform after installing the cam.

The Car is and ED Fairmont, it currently has 2.5 inch Exhaust and XFORCE extractors.

This car is also my daily driver so keep that in mind.

Any other infomation just ask and I'll answer as best as I can.

Thanks guys,

James

JMM cams are over priced regrinds.
for same money get a billet crow cam or for half the money get a regrind wade.

This is true, but if he's after this specific cams spec's then good luck to him and i think JMM's results speak for themselves so yeah !,
for a daily this cam is sweet.
Was interested in this whole DeV3 option and after speaking to the boys at JMM they said not go any further than this DEV with a car on gas so your car running on petrol(?) should be nice.

good luck with your choice man

Thanks for your advise both you guys :),

I read elsewhere and JMM don't want to give out there specs but I'm not too fussed about those for now.

Is a wade regrind bring out just as good a performance boost than the JMM Cams?

And yes my car is running on petrol.

Well I think I will settle for the wade 1673 profile, lol. Unless we start a war on which will be better for my car?  .

Not taking sides here, but you get what you pay for. And JMM cams speak for themselves. TRIED AND PROVEN !!!!!!!! So when someone beats him in an AME dyno shootout, then they will have merit. Until then, best one keeps their slagging of others to a minimum, ey?

I got 149rwkw out of a DEV3HL package from my old EF XR6 manual.
But it wasn't the power that impressed me.
It was the extra boost in mid-range torque that made the difference.
Dyno chart in my gallery if you want to have a peek.

Price is up to you mate.
I look at it this way;
If you can afford the JMM package and want to know how much power and torque your likely to get for you cash, then go JMM.
If your budget is limited, listen to the other guys on this forum who have had experience with other packages and maybe save yourself some cash.

Either way, it's your cold hard erned mate.

AME shoot out - Australian Motoring Expo. Last Year I saw a JMM car make the new record 600.8 RWHP. RESULTS are on the board.

I myself have a JMM Cam grind, fair enough he doesnt wanna divulge his bread and butter specs, so what. They are cheaper then crow anyway. I have used crow in the past, and personally think they are garbage. Thats why i changed to a JMM cam. Now with a new tune I make an additional 25RWKW on 1.5 PSI less on PULP... GO FIGURE.

I understand that JMM arent the most people friendly at times, but they know their stuff in this dept.

but it doesnt start to make any more significant power over stock until 3500 rpm looking at your chart. This makes it more of a top end cam. Depends on what he wants. a cms cam will make maybe 5- 9 kw less on the same system, but make heaps more torque earlier on, which means better pull earlier. horses for courses. Who's dyno was this printout off?
