Spark plugs? They use autolites iirc and they aren't cheap, easily $200 for 6 I think.. The dyno run can't be more than $100 so $300 max?

$60 for a dyno run I think, and $45 for the plugs IIRC...

If you can't change your own spark plugs, I don't think you should be driving a car.

And I personally wouldn't use JMM's dyno, as it's been known to read up to 30% higher than real dyno's.

autolite plugs arent worth more than $18, some FF people have aquired them for arround this much. Instalation is nothing that cant be done in 2min at home.

So just how accurate are "real" dyno's

Oops, I was referring to NGK Iridium prices. Autolites are meant to give you a few extra kw but I wouldn't believe it...

As others have said, if you can't change plugs on a I6 don't even think about getting a V8. 8)

Im running auto lites and they are great. do some research and you will probably find them cheaper than JMM but they are only $45 from them anyway. They do provide a better burn as they sit further into the combustion chamber, so no arguements can be made as to them being worse than other plugs, just make sure you gap them to 0.9mm wher you get them.

If you're chasing horsepower, plugs arent the way to do it. The other way around - select the right plug for your mods to get the most out of the engine. Any decent brand with the correct gap and heat rating should be fine.

Having said that, an independent (i.e. not on the dyno of someone who has a financial gain from promoting said product) dyno test would be interesting
