hey guys, well I've done alittle work on the ebII since I last posted, so far the list on mods are:
2.5" catback, redback exhuast (stock cat)
defilippo extractors (2nd hand)
thermo fan converion
adjustable fuel reg
worked head
1673 wade cam (i added extra shims, but I've been told that still isn't enough after i had it dynoed)
new dizzy, sparks and leads

I had a test and tune, hit about 140rwhp befor the tune and jumped up to 164.4rwhp after tune! I'll post the dyno sheet as soon as I get it scanned.
I hoping for at least 170 but I knew i was dreaming haha, Is it possible to reach the 200rwhp mark N/A?
Now I've got afew ideas in mind to go harder but want other opions on what i can do
so far I'm thinking:
a ajustable cam gear (very little gains I know)
new springs (instead of more shims)
3.45 lsd (no idea whats in there now, stock as far as I know)
J3 chip (pre programmed)

what do you think?

thanks go to Paramount Performance for the dyno tune

It very easily done to reach 200rwhp NA that is just under 150rwkw. I would change your cat and get the car tuned with a J3. You should be around 140rwkw to 150rwkw or 185rwhp to 200rwhp after that

yeah 200 rwhp is a nice target to get actually.

What have you done about your air intake? the stock EB ones are s**t compared to an XH(?) one. let the sucker breathe. as mentioned, ditch the stock cat and go a venom or similar aftermarket item. good chance your stock item is in need of replacement if its the original item.

I think the 4.11diff might be just alittle too high for a daily haha,
I've been reading about and was wondering if it's worth going bigger injectors or at least AU injectors... if they will fit

Go to the wreckers and get some au injectors , $100 can be spent on other things that will give u power.

What's all this talk about more shims needed? If you have retained the original shims and added a second set to go with your regrind cam, you don't need any more - the extra shims are only there to compensate for the height difference of the regrind vs stock cam. There is absolutely nothing to gain from adding more shims. If you're worried about your valves bouncing or something then by all means upgrade your springs to at least XR-spec or some aftermarket Crow springs. Don't add more shims than what you have.

im just going off what I was told after the dyno, that I needed to do this or I'll hammer the tops off the valves, I personally didn't put on the extra shims, the shop I got the head worked over told me they would put an extra set of shims on for me, they f@*kin better have of done it cos they charged me for an extra set of new shims....

I reckon if your tuner is telling you stuff like that, you need to find another tuner. If you took his advice and installed a third set of shims you would definitely ruin all the rocker gear and probably the valves as well; who knows what else besides. Have a look on eBay; Crow springs go for $124 plus post. That's all you need - and maybe you don't even need them. In my car I have installed the same cam as yours in a Tickford head with stock XR6 valves and springs. It runs beautifully. Sorry if I sound rude - just don't want you ruining your car on the advice of someone who doesn't know what they are talking about.
