OK as title said i just changed mt thermostat in my EL 6cyl Wagon and now the car is missing and running rough. Is this something to do with the thermostat or is it just a coincidence. It has got me buggered. I am thinking coil but i cant see how it would have anything to do with changing the thermostat. Any help would be great. Thanks

Hey mate, I had the same problem as you when I changed mine, these were my symptons
Just did a service
-New oil
-Oil Filter
-Air Filter
- New thermostat

When i drive my car, it would be fine on take off, but when i pressed the accelrator that little bit more, it would missfire, cough and loose power emensly...
I gave it a day of driving around now its fine..

How long has this been happeneing?

** Also checke your plugs and leads
Hope this helps
- Ash

when you remove the top thermostat housing, the coolant you spill has probably fallen directly onto the dizzy and found a way inside
