I've called two ford dealerships who claim you cant buy 12 packs of the lash adjuster retaining clips by themselves.. I also called repco who said they dont sell them. Any ideas where people are finding them?

Spent the afternoon going insane assembling the rocker gear with no clips with them all constantly falling out.. To make things even more fun I had to undo everything after putting a shim around the wrong way, and when pulling apart I lost one down a f**k oil gallery...

jeez.. Well the locals on the coast say they dont. I asked two dealerships if they sold them seperately. time to try brisbane dealers I guess.

i just used some packing tape to hold them in (around the rocker, holding the HLA's + shims in to the arm) and removed the tape once the rocker assembly was back on the engine.

save screwing around with the annoying retainers. I don't think they are really needed (assuming we're talking about the same things anyway, the little cork/whatever washer type things that break up when you take out the HLA's to get at the shims)

It only takes a couple seconds to clip the retainer onto the lifter and clip it into the rocker arm and you dont have to worry about it again.

Ive replaced the lifters both ways and its heaps easier not having to tape it up. Strange how ford cant get them in though......
