im still not convinced...

do the math.. ??
i said not reving past 5500 rpm in 4th
because if you only got 148 km out of 3rd. that is about right for 3.45
but 200 out of 4th.. its un realistic..

i dont care! i know what is possable and whats unrealistic..
as i said from the start.
a car with 3.45 that revs only to 5500 rpm..
will not get 200 out of 4th gear(manual)..unless you got 20,s
just look at the ratios
1st=3.25
2nd=1.99
3rd=1.29
4th=1.00
5th=0.72
now the difference between the 3rd and 4th ratio. is not much. meaning that your 4th is not much taller than 3rd.
now look at the 1st to 2nd ratio there is 1.24 gap between them.
and you gain 40 kmph from top of 1st to the top of 2nd.
now 3rd to 4th has a gap of 0.71. meening you will only gain about 25 kmh from the top of 3rd to the top of 4th which will only get you 175-180..

i say this with confidense as ive owned 4 manual e series including what i have now and 3 of them had 3.45 and there was no way that they would get more than 180 out of 4th..@ 5500(with the corect speedo gear)..

i can only get just over 180 with the 3.08 ratio..so unless your engine revs past 5500 IN 4th gear it wont happen??

if you feel like debating about it start up a fresh thread so we are not steeling someone elses thread...

Well i ended up buying a new flywheel, and she performs great! It feels like a new car, and the clutch is very light and it hasn't slipped once
