hey, does anyone know anything bout central locking on efII's??? the remote has a new battery except it does open the the car doesnt do anything,,, i bought the car, it had a manual but the pages that contained info on the locking system was conviently ripped out,
is there any special way of activating it or does it need to be looked at professionally>>???

ps, the fuses arent blown

The remote may need to be programmed to your car.

my understanding is that the code hopping system most remotes use would require you to "re-sync" the remote to the car. so yeah, follow the process in the manual or the docco to reenter the remote into the system.

btw the little orange light does illuminate when you press the buttons? sometimes the little switches wear out and don't make contact. and it's good fun trying to replace these...

my au looses the codes every 3 or 4 months and i have to relearnt the car to the keypad then it works fine :)

Does that doco apply to an ED falcon aswell, I am wanting to replace my keypads and have been told only a couple of remotes can be coded to it, if someone could shed some light on this i would appreciate it.
