ok this is what u do get your old air box and put it back in , then sit your pod in there and run the air from your pod through a proper pip not that plastic flexable house , cause the sides of that house are rippled and it will cause turbulance and blockidge.

and if you dont put your pod in a box you will just suck hot air giving you less performance.

Believe it or not air slides over air more easliy so the there's another theory that dumpled surface like this holds are in and air coming though flows o/k...
I would go buy some 1.5 alloy sheet and make cover / box to shield engine side especially...Leaving it open at the front...
Or you could get some longer pipe and run it through to inner guard. There should be plastic cover in there? To protect from wheel splash etc

All air filters have to be in an enclosed area, sealed from engine bay, and unable to allow liquids out onto the window etc etc

thats the same way ive got mine, see my gallery.

i just cut the std ef airbox lid pipe and slid the pod on.

you could use 80mm flexy piping.

now run some of that piping from your std air feed to the pod, aka from the bottem of the box to the pod.

the hose is to long. shorten it so the pod sits close to the back of the airbox lid.
