Soo, something under the car has been rattling the last week or so, it sounded like the cat so I climbed under for a look and it turns out one of the nuts had come off the bolt and the bolt was just sitting there. I couldn't find a nut to fit in my 'spare bits' jar so I went off to the hardware with the bolt to find a nut that fitted (ended up splashing out and getting a whole new nut and bolt :P )

Anyway, the purpose of this thread - how did it sound with one of the bolts missing from the exhaust and a 5mm gap on one side between the back of the cat and the rest of the exhaust ?
LOUD AS F#CK!!!
As I drove up the street EVERYONE turned their head and stared

I had the camera in the car tonight on the way home so I recorded a quick clip. It's crap at the start because I had the camera in my lap.

The video doesn't do it justice but it really is stupidly loud and pretty funny. I urge anyone who's bored on a slow sunday arvo to pull a bolt or 2 out of their exhaust and go for a lap around the block

Ha ha, lucky your whole exhaust didn't drop off Hyena.
I had a leak like yours on the way back from holidays, thought it would make it home.
It dropped off right in front of a police station while accelerating at about 2500rpm :P

I did a 302 windsor swap into a Cortina and had to drive to the exhaust shop with just extractors on. Was a lot of fun.
I've also driven without a bonnet on, just to the hardware shop and back. That was a lot of fun as well, watching the engine jumping around on take off.
