This is a common fualt I know as It did it on my EB years and years ago, but I still dont know what it is. Fan belt?

if its the one im thinking off then i had that when i started my ed. funnily enough the head gasket blew a few days later and ever since its been fixed ive never heard it again

they may only need tightening. its usually the alternater/water pump belt that screams.

yep i second that. was the case on my EA and my ED. tigheten them up and havent had a problem since. its will be the altenator one.

i've had mine squeeling because i had the belts done up to tight. of course check their condidion, and replace if necesscary.

the idle roller, f**k up too, and is cheapas to replace, but yeah fan belt

or dude it could be grime n s**t in your starter motor, they stick up too long as you start it up.. common problem,.

take it out and clean it if you can be f**k battling with it to get it out.. or put up with it and hope it goes away,., i did that and it did.. - no more noise

How is your voltage? If it eventually goes away, I'd be pointing the finger at the alternator. Mine used to squeel like a whore because it didn't make enough power, but it was only the belt to that in the end.

Mine did this for a while, I'd tighten the alternator belt and about a month later it would start up again, ended up replacing the alternator bracket from FORD at $15 and that let me tighten it further and since then it hasn't made a peep.
