Got 2 redback mufflers on the BA and just love the note it gives.. But can I get this louder without changing its note?

I've been told that if I replace the centre muff with a hotdog, it would sound more cammy.... what does that mean? is it lumpier?

My advise if you want it louder is to remove the rear muffler but it will give you a drone in the cabin.
If so then put a hot dog then. If you like to go one better then remove the centre muffler & replace it with a streight though muffler which will give you more (better) flow. I did that with my el 4.0L & it sounds great.

i have a redback 2.5in with single muffler, no resi or hot dog and i don't find it drones too much at cruising speeds (1500 - 2200 rpm)...definately not audible when stereo is playing even relatively quietly

so i would say lose the rear for a bit of straight pipe, then if you find it drones get a resi/hotdog

Well, seems like the only thing to do is to try different combos to see for myself. 8-)
