give the car a service with some 15/50 or 20/50 oil, and see if problem persists.
if it does then try the fllowing,
get oil preasure tested using mechanical gauge, will tell you if it's an issue with engine or just misreading gauge.
if preassure is ok then try,
add extra earth cable from battery to engine.
or change the preassure sensor in block, around cyl3-4 under the bbm.

A lot of people here have that problem with the oil guage. I've tried fitting the extra earths - it didn't solve the problem for me, but others have said it did. Its a good idea to add a body-to-engine strap anyway - Have a look at your stock earth - its way to small a guage.

Changed from 20W50 to HPR15 (15W60) and my problem seems to have gone away for the time being. It hasn't added any new lifter noise as yet ;-)

ive got the same thing goin on with my EA, in the morrning the oil pressure is at half, at idol and in the revs, but when it warms up the oil pressure at idol goes down to the first bar and then at 1000-1500RPM the oil pressure goes to half and then after 1500RPM the pressure just stays at half?

I've recently noticed the same thing in my EB2 (163,000k's), only a problem when engine warms about a mm from the "N" in Normal.

I have also noticed a flutter in the gauge which can sometimes cause a ruff idle (More than usual with a Wade 1004-112 cam)

Could this perhaps be a seal. which leaks once heated?

And does anybody know how much it would cost to replace my oil pump?
