I used to use Shell because of the shopper dockets, but we had a lot of troubles and our LPG man said that their gas is dirty (had heard that before from another source).
It now runs fine on BP, shame their petrol is so expensive in Brisbane.

we only have a choice of shell, BP or united in townsville.

the BP pumps always give me trouble with not filling. and PB are always about 5c to 8c dearer.

Shell have modified all the pumps so you can't lock the trigger on, it's a right pain to stand there holding the trigger of an LPG pump.

United are always 0.04c cheaper then shell and have pumps that can be locked on.
seem to get 20 to 25km more from a tank from United.

I tend to get my gas in melb from SuperGas in dandyenong its pure propane so more like premium its will range from 100-110 octane not that many more kms but more bang for the buck and is about 1c cheaper then shell or caltex with the dockets

Did you manage to get an extra 20kms from United Gas?

that's interesting, because i managed to get about 20-30kms more from BP Gas than United

yeah, i used to use shell all the time because they where cheaper and i drive past two of them every day, so it was easy to get.
ALL of the shell servos stopped selling it for about 2 months, so had to change, thats when i had the problems with BP and found the united.
I got the extra km from united, when shell started selling it again i lost the KM. Went back to united,

not that LPG pricing here makes any sence at all. the lowest we pay now is 75.4c the highest is 90c. There isn't a huge saving to make but $20 to $30 a week is better then nothing.

My car is in need a tune up though, i'm only getting 300km to 50L of lpg. in good tune it will get 360km to 380km. Time to 'borrow' the motec AFR meter from work again.

Shell and BP are the worst.

Shell being the worst, BP is infamous for clogging up converters with sludge.

I've found Mobil to be the best followed by United then Caltex (Caltex Vital gas, not the Woolworths Caltex outlets). I also plan to try Supagas.
